The Ashley Ridge HOA would like to form a Neighborhood Watch Program, but we need your help.
During the next month, you should receive the Neighborhood Watch Survey in your mailbox. Please complete the form and return it to Sequoia Management or the contact person listed on the forms.
Common Questions about the Neighborhood Watch Program: Q: How does the Neighborhood Watch form? A: In order to become an official Watch program we need at least 50% of the homeowners to support the program.
Q: What does “Support” mean? A: We need you to complete a 3 question survey saying you are in favor of forming a Neighborhood Watch and whether you would volunteer to patrol or be a block captain.
Q: What do I have to do to patrol? A: Before you can patrol you have to attend a one-time training which last approximately 90 minutes. Then, you can patrol a portion of the neighborhood by car or on-foot once every 2-3 months.
Q: What do I get in return for my efforts? R: Communities with a Neighborhood Watch benefit in the following ways: · Reduced risk of burglaries by 40-70% · Greater awareness of crime & monthly reports · Direct support from the Police Department · Greater community pride · Brings neighbors closer together · Potential to increase property value · Crime prevention training · Signs send a warning to criminals · Home security inspections · Enhances quality of life · Personal contact with the Police Department · Free starter patrol gear |
